No – and you should watch your cats if they go outside – so you do not have to worry about where they are.

The most you can do without a collar is to have a chip installed in their skin. This way, if they ever wander too far and are taken to a shelter, they automatically check for a chip and you call. This can be done by installing the county animal control, or by your veterinarian.

From what I know about GPS trackers, they are quite large and must be attached to a collar or harness. The smallest I’ve seen yet is the size of a mobile phone, visit the website below. The biggest problem I see with that is the cat getting caught by the collar or harness in a tree, hedge or fence in a place and die. . . I bet that’s what you want the GPS to help you avoid:)

There is hope. Read this site, they make a GPS device that is implanted under the skin (the size of a piece of rice) with a firearm in the implant, as they now use with micro ID chips: http:// www. lightninggps. COM / personal tracking / GPS implant. html

I read the answer on the GPS device implanted and immediately suspected something was pas.La technology does not exist (at least not yet) to produce such a device in the size that is indiqué.J ‘t made a Google search on: Bio-Trac on GPSet Tracker: GPS Biotrace TrackerEt found several pages on this subject, here is one of these States, it is a fake: http://www. brickhousesecurity. com / implant-gpstracking. htmlIl is a fake, a fish avrilComme Brickhouse specified on this page, the smallest GPS unit is still quite large and should be placed on the collar of a chat.Voici other pageshttp: / / www . They are not devices GPS.Les same page talks about an implantable GPS – but it is “. 2 5 inches in diameter and 0. 5 inches deep, about the size of a pacemaker” more larger than the element of falsity is dit.Voici a page with comments from readers about why it is not yet possible http://gadgets. BoingBoing. net/2009/02/12/gps-chips-are-now-sm. htmlGardez in mind that many references to this device are on the web in blogs and blogging can be written by anyone who may or may not do fact checking before posting any references chose.Beaucoup you will find are copied directly, word for word, from the site of the response of other available – http://www. lightninggps. COM / personal tracking / GPS implant. html They have not checked, they are simply accepted as fact and passing it the long.Il are thousands, perhaps millions of hoaxes on the Internet and is one of them. This device implantable GPS is not alleged in the capabilities of technology actuelle.Qui knows where we go, and it might be possible in the future, but no it is not possible .*** EDIT *** I Rueters found an article about something like this at http://www. Reuters. com/article/technologyNews/idUSN2041333820080822? sp = trowel kicker is this sentence: “A transmitter in the chip then sends radio signals to a larger device carried by the customer with a global positioning system in it, Xega says.” The implanted chip will not operate without the device the “greatest.” Later he says: “Customers are afraid, they kidnapped press a panic button on an external device to alert Xega, which then calls the police.” The chip can operate without larger unit. What good is a chip implanted if you have to carry another device? Why not put all functions in the device as “the greatest?” Further down: “Katherine Albrecht, an activist U.S. consumer privacy, said the chip is a flashy, overpriced gadget that only identifies a person and can not find someone without another, bigger GPS device that kidnappers can easily find and destroy. “The chip is implanted in the person is very likely that RFID that transmits a unique ID when scanned – like a microchip in an animal company.Your device “bigger” reads “the number as a scanner to” read “the number on a pet smart ID.C is the device “more” which provides the functions of GPS, not the chip implant .******

you can get GPS collars for cats, but current technology can not be small enough for the moment. Thus, it is quite large. In addition, you most likely have to pay a monthly subscription, because they use a telecommunications network to transmit.
